Using POS Offline Mode
How to process sales and manage operations when your internet connection is down.
What is Offline Mode?
Offline mode allows you to continue processing sales and key operations even when your internet connection is unavailable.
How It Works
- The POS detects connectivity loss automatically
- It switches to offline mode — no action needed
- Sales are recorded locally on your device
- When connection is restored, data syncs automatically
What Works Offline
- Processing sales and payments
- Printing receipts
- Barcode scanning
- Cash drawer operations
- Customer lookup (cached data)
What Requires Online
- Real-time inventory updates across locations
- Email/SMS receipt delivery
- Cloud report generation
- Employee clock-in with geolocation
- Software updates
Managing Offline Sessions
- Go to Dashboard > POS > Offline
- View all pending offline transactions
- Check sync status for each transaction
- Resolve any sync conflicts manually if needed
Conflict Resolution
If an item was sold offline and also sold online by another store:
- The system flags the conflict
- You choose which sale to keep
- Inventory is adjusted accordingly
Best Practices
- Process offline sales with a note about the connection status
- Verify sync completion before closing
- Keep your devices charged — offline mode uses more battery
- Train staff on the transition process
Tip: Offline mode supports up to 500 transactions before requiring a sync.
